As Colwood looks forward to a period of rapid community growth, a logical, forward-thinking plan on how to acquire, enhance, and manage parks and recreation resources is essential for both the people who live here today and those to come in the future. Our team used a three-phase, community-oriented process to understand current conditions, identify gaps, and develop a vision, goals, objectives, and actions for Colwood’s future parks and recreation system.

The resulting plan will provide guidance for managing parks and recreation resources, infrastructure, and investment over a horizon of ten years and beyond. It also addresses partnerships that support recreation including local first nations, partners, and operators to maximize recreational opportunities in the community.
